T Met Armagh

T-Met, a leader in scrap metal recycling, new steel, and car parts, has partnered with TRE Energy to implement a 163.5 kW solar power system composed of 300 high-efficiency 545W panels. This system is projected to produce 126,630 kWh of clean energy in its first year, resulting in a significant carbon offset of 41,788 kg. Over 25 years, even accounting for a yearly efficiency loss of 0.8%, the array is expected to generate 2,879,687 kWh of energy, leading to a total carbon offset of 950,297 kg, assuming grid CO2 levels remain constant. This project underscores T-Met's commitment to sustainability, enhancing its environmentally-friendly operations in the scrap metal recycling and automotive industries while drastically reducing it’s energy costs.
