Causeway Hospital

The Causeway Hospital, in collaboration with the NHS and TRE Energy, features a substantial 1276.5 kW solar power system composed of 2,300 high-efficiency 555W panels. In its first year alone, this system is projected to generate an impressive 1,000,786 kWh of clean energy, resulting in a significant carbon offset of 330,259 kg. Over 25 years, accounting for a yearly efficiency loss of 0.8%, the array is expected to produce a remarkable 22,758,798 kWh of energy, leading to a total carbon offset of 7,510,403 kg, assuming grid CO2 levels remain constant. This project underscores the NHS's commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.
