In its first year alone, this system is projected to generate an impressive 1,000,786 kWh of clean energy, resulting in a significant carbon offset of 330,259 kg. Over 25 years, accounting for a yearly efficiency loss of 0.8%, the array is expected to produce a remarkable 22,758,798 kWh of energy, leading to a total carbon offset of 7,510,403 kg, assuming grid CO2 levels remain constant. Justin Smyth

Domestic customer Justin has selected TRE Energy to install a 5.5 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system, consisting of 17 high-efficiency 325W panels. This system is projected to generate 4,546 kWh of clean energy in its first year, resulting in a carbon offset of 1,801 kg. Over 25 years, assuming grid CO2 levels remain constant, the system is expected to offset a total of 42,173 kg of carbon emissions. Treetops Farm

One of our flagship installations is the McCrea Milk Farm project in Claudy. This project features a robust 150.08kW solar power system composed of 296 high-efficiency 460 watts - 328no = 150,080kWp panels with a substantial 110kWh of battery storage. Additionally, the installation includes three cutting-edge solar hot water devices, maximising the use of solar energy for heating needs. Annually, this system delivers an impressive 84,350 kWh of solar input, significantly reducing carbon footprints and promoting energy independence.

Stena line Belfast

Stena Line, one of the world’s largest ferry operators specialising in both freight and travel, is committed to sustainability across the planet, human welfare, and business operations. In partnership with TRE Energy, Stena Line has installed a 30.26 kW solar power system featuring 89 high-efficiency 340W panels. This installation is projected to generate 28,309 kWh of clean energy in its first year, resulting in a carbon offset of 9,172 kg annually. Over 25 years, accounting for a yearly efficiency loss of 0.8%, the system is expected to produce 662,929 kWh of energy, leading to a total carbon offset of 214,789 kg assuming grid CO2 levels remain constant.

Aldi Ardee

Aldi Supermarket in Ardee has integrated a 17.94 kW solar power system in partnership with TRE Energy. This installation comprises 52 high-efficiency 345W panels and is expected to generate 16,783 kWh of clean energy in its first year, resulting in a carbon offset of 5,438 kg annually. Over 25 years, accounting for a yearly efficiency loss of 0.8%, the array is projected to produce 393,025 kWh of energy, leading to a total carbon offset of 127,340 kg, assuming grid CO2 levels remain constant. This successful pilot project was so effective that Aldi has decided to expand the systems to 80 kWp each across multiple stores. TRE Energy has now fitted solar power systems in Aldi locations including Douglas, Ballina, Dunshaughlin, Clonakilty, Caherciveen, Newbridge, Tuam, Ardee, Mountbellow, Killarney, Kanturk, Carrigaline, Cabra, Ballyhaunis, and Athenry.

Bradley’s Centra Maghera

Bradley’s Centra Maghera, a well-established petrol station, partnered with TRE Energy to tackle rising energy costs and protect the business from future electricity price spikes. TRE Energy designed a bespoke solar power system featuring panels with three orientations—South, East, and West. This setup allows the shop to harness direct sunlight throughout the day, from morning to evening. The system has proven highly effective, generating over 70,240 kWh in its first year of operation, significantly insulating the business from the energy cost surge experienced in 2023.
